Anyone know if the iOS 16.6 beta fixes the issue with the Lightning to
USB 3 Camera Adapter <https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK0W2AM/A/> not working in 16.5?

SIL complaining about it not working and I didn't believe her at first
but apparently it's a real issue <https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254875835>. If the 16.6 beta fixes
it I'll have her sign up to get the public betas. I don't have that
dongle so I can't try it on my iPhone with 16.6. There's no indication
of what was added or fixed in the latest 16.6 public beta that I could
find..

Interesting accessory. Does this also work with iPhones? I'd love to use
my cheap ext. USB microscope with my iPhone instead of a laptop/notebook
like outside.

There is a firmware update for the adapter, but it is unclear to me whether
the update fixed or created the problem. The link to Macrumors is on the above Apple discussions page.

I would imagine it will be fixed in 16.5.1.

This is why I never install OS updates quickly. I always wait a few weeks
to see what issues pop up. I’m still on 16.4.1 on everything here.

As I predicted, 16.5.1 fixes this issue.
