Some signs of AI model collapse begin to reveal themselves

Prediction: General-purpose AI could start getting worse

Opinion I use AI a lot, but not to write stories. I use AI for search.
When it comes to search, AI, especially Perplexity, is simply better
    than Google.

Ordinary search has gone to the dogs. Maybe as Google goes gaga for
AI, its search engine will get better again, but I doubt it. In just
the last few months, I've noticed that AI-enabled search, too, has
    been getting crappier.

Too much AI vaporware out there, with those who create AI,
bullshitting, and dreaming about big profits. AssWipes, they are.

Think about it: there is hardly any original human-created content
available anymore; they've already ingested it all. So the only new
"food" is soylent-flavored regurgitated AI output.

I suppose the AI crowd hasn't discovered Usenet yet. They should train
some models on Usenet and develop a new product that calls you a Nazi
and an asshat, accuses you of being a nymshifting troll, and questions
your every hypothesis while so consistently arguing the opposite of
whatever you posted that eventually it contradicts itself by taking a
polar opposite opinion from a formerly stated opinion. The world needs
    a software product like that.

DOGE Developed Error-Prone AI Tool to "Munch" Veterans Affairs
    Contracts

We obtained records showing how a Department of Government Efficiency
staffer with no medical experience used artificial intelligence to
identify which VA contracts to kill. "AI is absolutely the wrong tool
    for this," one expert said.
