Without the US, European nations cannot guarantee anything militarily; let alone security versus Russia. The only thing that will stop Russia in that scenario is themselves.
Yes... the EU has 1.3 million armed troops. 50% of those can be moved from western europe to the eastern front, and the war would stop. They could
even attack and retake all invaded areas.
The EU won't because they are cowards and have shown themselves to be irrelevant.
