Judge rules that Black church in DC, which won a $2.8 million default
judgment against the Proud Boys, now gains control over the trademark
"Proud Boys." The far-right group is barred from selling any related merchandise or symbols without the consent of the church.

The name is derived from the song "Proud of Your Boy" originally
created for Disney's 1992 film Aladdin but left out following story
changes in production, and later featured in the 2011 musical
adaptation. In the song, the character Aladdin apologizes to his
mother for being a bad son and promises to make her proud. McInnes
interprets it as Aladdin apologizing for being a boy. He first heard
it while attending his daughter's school music recital. The song's
"fake, humble, and self-serving" lyrics became a running theme on his
podcast. McInnes said it was the most annoying song in the world but
that he could not get enough of it.

In India, a Bombay newspaper says

Mumbai girl Aarohi Pandit (23), https://www.indiatoday.in/trending-news/story/mumbai-girl-aarohi-pandit-becomes-first-woman-to-fly-solo-across-atlantic-and-pacific-ocean-1590739-2019-08-23

I wonder if they use "Mumbai boy"

    PS: Mumbai (formerly called Bombay)

True... but the problem is that in a country with freedom of speech, other
may choose to address him as boy, negro or nigra. He may not like it, he
may choose not to listen, but at the end of the day, it is not up to him
what others choose to call him.

The isn't the case here; people weren't just calling them "boy". They went to court and legally acquired the name.

Surely it is not the verbal expression? That's absurd! Isn't it a logo or
    brand together with graphics?

What is the definition of a trademark?

A trademark can be any word, phrase, symbol, design, or a combination
of these things that identifies your goods or services. It's how
customers recognize you in the marketplace and distinguish you from
your competitors. The word "trademark" can refer to both trademarks
    and service marks.

It is very beautiful! They could probably make a nice sum of money selling
back the rights to the proud boys! =D Or why not let them use it for a
    royalty?

Since the church "won a $2.8 million default judgment against the
Proud Boys," I assume this means PB "organization" was without funds
in a bank, so the court "gave" this trademark to the church.

True, but that is today. Maybe tomorrow the Proud boys want to start a
business again, and then the church will be there to support them. After
all, our lord and saviour teaches us to turn the other cheek! =D
