Tesla released its financial results for 2024 on Wednesday afternoon, following the close of the markets. The maker of electric vehicles may have to invest in stocks of red ink, because 2024 results were even less impressive than the already-underwhelming 2023 numbers[1].

    Q4, 2024

During the final quarter of last year, Tesla saw its automotive revenues fall by 8 percent compared to the same three months of 2023, dropping to $19.8 billion. It more than doubled its energy and storage revenues, which grew by 113 percent compared to Q4 2023, but this amounts to just $3 billion and a small fraction of Tesla's overall business. Similarly, services posted a 31 percent growth during those three months, but again the actual contribution in dollar terms was just $2.8 billion.

Total revenue grew by 2 percent in Q4, but income fell by 23 percent, and its operating margin has dropped to just 6.2 percent—the lowest since Q1 2024. By contrast, the industry average operating margin for an automaker is around 10 percent. Net profits fell an astounding 71 percent to $2.3 billion.

Knowing business men, being one, I'm sure he is poking around trying to
find inefficiencies to exploit in the form of selling his services to the government. I for sure would! =D

Senior US Treasury official to exit after rift with Musk allies,
    report says

David Lebryk, the top-ranking career U.S. Treasury Department
official, will leave following a clash with allies of billionaire and
Trump adviser Elon Musk over payment system access, the Washington
    Post reported on Friday.

The report, citing three people with knowledge of the matter, said
Lebryk and Musk's surrogates clashed over access to a sensitive system
used to pay out more than $6 trillion a year in Social Security and
Medicare benefits as well as federal salaries, government contract
    payments and tax refunds.

It was unclear why the team tied to Musk, who U.S. President Donald
Trump has tasked with overhauling the government, sought access to the
    payment system.

Not at all! They are trying to sort of fraudulent payments. They will suck in all data into an AI system that will then judge 50% of the payments to be fraudulent and terminate them. Money saved!

Really... it is perfectly obvious why they want access. The fact that they were denied indicates that the civil servant is clearly hiding something. He must kneep before his master or retire.

Highly unlikely since purchased items, etc., would not have a detailed
"rap sheet" on items bought. And even if details were available, I
    doubt if AI could evaluate.

A friend's wife had top-level access to payroll in a large company,
and could have put anyone on the payroll. Finding ghost employees may
be like finding a needle in a haystack.

I might also note "privacy" aspect should exclude Musk's fingering
    about.

This is a valid theory! On the other hand, just asking Mr Z to analyze the
meme content of peoples facebook profiles should be enough to sniff out
any democrats, easier and more reliable. Mr Z. is now a tech bro since he kneeled in front of his lord and saviour, so he would happily comply since
he has found a whole new set of spiritual values!

Movements in US have come, made their demands known, and passed into
history. Congress will have to show its teeth to end injustices.

Their endgame appears to be displacing millions of workers in
government and in the private sector, but economically, tax revenue
will decrease along with reduced business incomes. Having millions of
poor people has never enriched a nation.

If congress shows its teeth, Trump will brush them with the toothpaste of Trupism!

Ah, but these government workers will get new jobs in the private sector
where they will not be parasites on the tax payer. Everybody wins! In the government there is a lot of make believe jobs that don't have any
purpose. Many people in the government have not worked a single day in
their lives, but just lived happily on the tax payers teat.

will decrease along with reduced business incomes. Having millions of
poor people has never enriched a nation.

They will become rich and wealthy in the private sector utilizing their
highly sought after skills they learned while working for the government!
The american dream is alive again!

Hahaha... Mr K. is a clown, and not an economist! =D But regardless, Trump knows that tariffs are bad for the economy, but you missed the news.
Trumps tariff are a bargaining chip, not something he believe will make
    life better.

So you just wait and see when Canada and Mexico will kneel before their
master, and the tarriffs will come down. =)

Colombia already swore fealty to Trump, and they are now happy campers!
I've read that the economy there grew 2% over night, once they knelt in
    front of Trump.
