Ukraine risks being 'Trump's Vietnam,' says Steve Bannon

Trump's former chief strategist fears his old boss won't make a clean
break and stop military aid to Kyiv.

Donald Trump is in danger of failing to make a clean break with
Ukraine and could be sucked deeper into Vladimir Putin's war -- just
as Richard Nixon was stung in his attempts to pull out of Vietnam --
Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon warned in a wide-ranging
    interview with POLITICO.
    ...
    ...
Kellogg argues any deal to end the three-year-long war needs to
include solid security guarantees for Ukraine to ensure Russia won't
just invade again. And Kellogg has talked about maintaining U.S.
military aid to apply pressure on Moscow to agree a decent deal.

Montage of clips of Trump "guaranteeing" that he will end the war in
Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office, that "it wouldn't even be
tough" for him to do, and that "everyone will be happy" with the end
    result.

Yadda, yadda, as if any other politicians delivered on all is promises
100%. Not a big deal. And btw, Trump is not to blame, he offered them
peace, russia and ukraine peed on him, so if anyone is to blame it is
    Putin and Zelensky.

Trump I was the best period in modern US history, and in Trump II he is
already winning big! I saw today that he will fire all DEI clowns in the government. That is excellent news!

I think there are rumours he will then deport them. Let's see! =D

Paid leave is still costing the government money... so in
reality it's just a PR stunt.

If he was to sack the lot of 'em, THAT would be different!

It will come. It probably needs a bit more legal eagleing to do that, so a first, immediate step, is just removing them from where they do a lot of damage, and then start the process of kicking them out.

You think many DEI people voted for him? If so, you could be right!

"The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest
federal employee union representing 800,000 federal and D.C.
    government workers"

IIRC, the union is bringing a lawsuit against one of Trump;'s EO, so
if DEI staff is "unionized," Trump might not be able to fire them.

I suppose firing people willy-nilly on a whim would be a bit
harsh, maybe re-assign them to some minor clerical jobs, or
    something?
