Russia is considering merging three of its largest oil companies into
a single national "mega-producer,"
According to the publication, Russian authorities are considering the possibility of merging Rosneft, Gazprom Neft and Lukoil. The resulting
oil company could become the largest in the world after Aramco from
Saudi Arabia.
It is noted that negotiations between the companies' management have
been going on for several months, but they may not lead to a deal, and
its details may change.
