    I killfile to keep my groups clean. Of course I have the choice of not
    reading, but when I have 99 messages containing pure garbage and 1 taht
    might be worth while reading, the one I want to read might get lost in the flood.

    So much easier for me to just block the 99, and I have one good message in
    the group.

    Nothing ridiculous about it; it simply maintains the signal to noise
    value at a reasonable level. If you let the feed fill up with
