Kept in mind this "climate change" topic has been in public's
awareness for a number of years, and that "green" people have been
buying EVs...mostly Tesla previously. So in Musk's case, there was
consumer interest in an EV product, and as such, was it Musk's product
or Musk himself the reason for buying a Tesla is the $56 billion pay
package question?
I believe a non-flamboyant CEO could have accomplished similar, or
even more sales than Musk. Keep in mind, conservatives buy ICE
vehicles, and liberals buy BEVs/Hybrids. Why would a CEO want to piss
off his liberal customers?
