Israel destroys last university in Gaza as strikes continue

It is understood that all four of Gaza's universities as well as over
350 schools and its public library have now been destroyed by Israeli

I'd like to go back to the guy who suggested Hamas had some sort of
brilliant strategy that was going to play out with the hostage
situation, and ask him what his opinion of Hamas' brilliance is now.

What a catastrophe for the people of Gaza, poor folks.

You'd think the Israeli people would have some sympathy for the concept
of genocide. Guess it looks different when you are the ones pulling the triggers.

No easy escape for Biden either - he's screwed no matter which position
the USG takes on this war.

That's not a secret. If Israel wanted a two state solution they would
have helped create one. They've never wanted one and I don't believe
we will ever see it happen.

In fact, Israel's ambassador to the UK told Sky News a month ago that
they would not accept a two state solution... UK politicians said
they didn't agree with her and spouted the usual PR spin but she is
an Israeli diplomat she didn't just make it up! So it has to be the
    official Israeli line.

It's been a tit for tat drama for years/years, with no concrete
    settlement.

Hamas's plan was based upon previous tit for tats, but I suspect
Israeli military had a master plan that would be engaged if Hamas went
too far. I would not be surprised to hear Israeli military (et.al)
were aware of Hamas's executed plan, but failed to act.

It's likely the improving Israeli - Saudi Arabia relations spurred
    Hamas into that action.

I don't think anyone expected Hamas to go as far as they did on
    October 7th.

Very likely. Although probably because some over-confident Israeli
intelligence official(s) doubted the info they were being supplied
    with from their agents.

    Human Behavior
    A. Corps have attempted to eliminate/own their competition
    B. Nations expanding their turfs for various reasons
    C. Religious wars/etc...
    D. Hamas's stated objectives...
    E. Militaries tend to explore what if outcomes

Hamas had a plan that a few outsiders were aware of....
    Israel has done land grabs....

all four of Gaza's universities as well as over 350 schools
and its public library have now been destroyed by Israeli

The above might suggest this action was preplanned. An excuse was
    needed to make it so.
