How old were you when you realized that screwdriver handles are
designed to be attached to a wrench for more torque?

    In my experience,

+ This is true only a subset of screwdrivers

+ Some scredrivers have a hexagonal region of the shank that is clearly
meant for this and some have square shanks.

+ Until the appearance of Robertson screw heads, this was of
infrequent utility as slot and phillips screw heads tend to strip
before a wrench would be useful.

In automotive/motorcycle world, a Hand Impact Driver would be set in
its neutral position, and then whack it with a ball pin hammer first.
After initial whack, then slightly rotate impact driver in direction
    to unscrew.

In pic shown, whoever was not applying an expected downward force on
top-side of the screwdriver being turned by a wrench. On
screwdriver's side, he was using two fingers and a thumb. I suspect
this author was clueless about this topic

I've known about using a hand held impact driver, but not this other
    method of using a wrench.
