    Trump disqualified from Colorado's 2024 primary ballot by state
    Supreme Court

    In a historic decision Tuesday, the Colorado Supreme Court barred
    Donald Trump from running in the state's presidential primary after
    determining that he had engaged in insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021.

    The 4-3 ruling marked the first time a court has kept a presidential
    candidate off the ballot under an 1868 provision of the Constitution
    that prevents insurrectionists from holding office. The ruling comes
    as courts consider similar cases in other states.

    Looking at MAGA Twitter, the shift from "how dare people delegitimize
    Supreme Court Justices" to "here are the 4 evil hack corrupt bastards
    on the Colorado Supreme Court who voted against Trump" was, on the
    whole, rather quick.

    behavior in local elections.


    The tribalism in this country is really galling. My team at all costs.
    We need a better system and it's not clear if we'll ever have one. Part
    of me wonders if this is a generational thing that will end when the
    current ruling class - mostly from the Baby Boomer generation - moves
    on. But I doubt it; the incentives, media, and internet will all
    remain.
