    Leo Max Frank (April 17, 1884 - August 17, 1915)

    His kidnapping from prison and lynching two years later, in response
    to the commutation of his death sentence, became the focus of social,
    regional, political, and racial concerns, particularly regarding
    antisemitism and racism. Today, the consensus of researchers is that
    Frank was wrongly convicted and Jim Conley was likely the actual
    murderer.

    Considering arguments from both sides as well as evidence not
    available at trial, Governor John M. Slaton commuted Frank's sentence

    His case spurred the creation of the Anti-Defamation League and the

    From Cornell Law School[1]:
    To prove prima facie defamation, a plaintiff must show four things: 1)
    a false statement purporting to be fact; 2) publication or
    communication of that statement to a third person; 3) fault amounting
    to at least negligence; and 4) damages, or some harm caused to the
    reputation of the person or entity who is the subject of the
    statement.

    His claims would fail on the first test, it's a fact that hate speech is
    on the rise on his platform. If he doesn't like that, maybe he shouldn't
    have encouraged it. 🤷‍♀️
