    S. Jay Olshansky, a professor of public health of the University of
    Illinois at Chicago, has pushed back against the idea of any sort of
    age limit for holding office. A person's chronological age "is not a
    good barometer of biological age," he told NPR this month. "You can
    get people into their 80s and 90s that can operate at levels that are
    10, 20, 30 years younger than their chronological age. And the reverse
    is also true." He said some people -- like Biden and former President
    Donald Trump -- are what are called "superagers," or "individuals that
    make it out past the age of 80 that are functioning at a cognitive
    level that is often decades younger than their chronological age."

    As it stands, though, we don't have enough information to assess what
    McConnell has been going through, including whether or how it could
    affect his ability to govern. The lack of information from McConnell
    and his staff has contributed to intense speculation. Experts have
    rattled off potential causes ranging in seriousness from dehydration
    to a mini-stroke, known as a transient ischemic attack.

    If Biden had suffered anything even remotely similar (or maybe he has?
    who knows?) the Republican media would be shitting themselves with
    rage. They've tried hard to make Biden's age/health an important
    election issue, with somewhat marginal success. Where's the rage now, fucktards?

    Interesting that this piece confirms JAB's hypothesis that it could be
    a TIA.

    Having a brain injury is one thing. Not sure those three can blame
    their asshattery on a physiological injury; more likely they're just

    I've seen elderly people who simply freeze up like that due to dementia.
    Sometimes, they are walking, and they just freeze in place. It
    can/will worsen... I knew a woman who could freeze in place for an hour.

    IIRC, in both episodes, his freeze happened after a reporter asked him
    if he was going to run again.

    He may have a medical issue, but his character is not saintly.

    Lightheadedness - Is he breathing in/out differently?

    Have to wait/see if Republicans boot him out...or if he decides to
    leave. Also, how long he lives....
