Look how well that little tyke is dressed. A child-sized suit jacket
and matching pants, looks like. He should be wearing sagging
sweatpants, a wifebeater tshirt, $120 Adidas, and have at least 3-4
    tattoos.

His mom should be sporting yoga pants, a jog bra, and another 80
pounds, and be ignoring the kid totally while she chats away on her
iphone 15 ultra mega hyper super max funloop douchebag edition ($13,999
retail) about how her grocery bill has gotten too high and the
government needs to do something about it.

More seriously, I saw an article this week about Times Square 2023
descending back into a mess of garbage, human waste, drug addicts, and
rats, kind of the way it was when Rudy "Shitpantz" Giulani was mayor,
    or Cuomo elder.

Read it with an adblocker on so you can enjoy starving NYPost into
    bankruptcy.

During WWII, I know there were books which suggested how an officer's
    wife should act/etc.

What I don't know if this educational practice was widespread after
    WWII for middle class families.

Decorum was/is common with the elites, but to what extent this
occurred with middle class families is unknown to me. I suppose more
so in white collar families, but there were good blue collar families
who wanted their children to be in step with the times.

I would assume living in NY then, 1950s, keeping up with the Jones was common...monkey see, monkey do, if a family had enough funds.
