    iPhone 15 Pro: starting from $1,099
    iPhone 15 Pro Max: starting from $1,299
    ...
    ...

    Recession, what recession? I get that today's mobile phones are a massive difference compared to those from the stone age, but paying 1-2k for one just grates. It doesn't help [especially if you are in the Mac ecosystem] that they still feel better in terms of OS than Android [warning for flames..].

    I am holding on to my iPhone 8 as it does all what I personally need, but for others it would be a heap of bleep compared to the latest shiny shiny.

    But as Apple wants to make the iPhone 8 obsolete by its own design...

    Apple assumes there are still low lying fruit at there who will snatch
    up higher priced iPhones.

    I can't find the stats on buying new smartphones via Cash or "Credit."
    I suspect most consumers ain't got the cash to buy a new Smartphone,
    and then they pay more being locked in, and having to buy insurance.

    So, if the Smartphone "fish" don't bite, Apple will lower their prices
    if inventory hasn't moved fast enough.

    I carry a $120 Android bought on Ebay, a generation old. You know what else feels better? All the extra money still in my pocket. I'm sure the iphone is amazing, but ...

    Maybe not Band n71 (600 MHz) [T-Mobile] iPhone 11 and higher has it.

    Anyone using a carrier is paying too much, and MVNOs can save lots.

    from iPhone sales over the first nine months of the current fiscal
    year than it did the year before. There is no panic because smartphone
    sales are down across the board, but the risks are mounting.

    When they hardly have $35 into third-world child labor and parts, I
    can't feel badly for the companies selling $1k+ devices. "Let them eat
    cake".
