• Time for POTUS to pardon himself ?

From Jethro_uk@21:1/5 to All on Tue Dec 3 10:08:29 2024
An amusing thought, in the wake of Hunter Biden being pardoned is that
Joe Biden could pardon himself, and then leave it to SCOTUS to decide if
it is a thing or not.

Anyone have any suggestions how SCOTUS could rule that Biden can't pardon himself whilst then ruling that Trump can ?

Maybe a ruling that people whose names begin with "J" aren't eligible for
    a presidential pardon ?

There would be no reason for Biden to pardon himself because he has not
been accused of any crimes. Since he hasn't been accused of any crimes,
who would even have standing to take the matter to court?
