    I would say yes, just as you are required to render assistance if you
    are involved in a traffic accident, even if you are not at fault. You
    should summon police and paramedics, then stay around until they arrive.

    This is assuming that you are not at further risk of being killed or
    harmed. If you are, then you are entitled to take appropriate steps for
    your own safety, *then* summon police and medical help. Acting in
    self-defense does not excuse you from that requirement.
