Hello, this thread is extremely old, but i wanted to tell my version of it.
I used to use this method when being indecisive. For instance, instead of eenie meenie miney moe, we used this.

Inky pinky ponky
Daddy had a donkey
Donkey died, daddy cried
Inky pinky ponky
What color was his blood

And then you would pick a color. For example: “blue”
And you would count the letters of the word blue.
Whichever thing you landed on, is the winner.
