I am surprised to read that diamond engagement rings are immensely popular in spite of inflation and price related to scarcity due to Russian sanctions
A woman I know dated for such a long time before getting engaged, because he didn’t have the money to buy the “right kind” of ring for her, and it took him this long to save it up. (They lived together the entire time
now she has a huge diamond which I am sure was more pricey this month with the bear market stock and futures problems
Funny story: She was dating and living with some guy at my work. He had his own house.
But when he broke up with her and she had nowhere to go so she LIVED WITH HIS PARENTS AND REFUSED TO LEAVE FOR A YEAR. Can you even imagine, they weren’t even married and she asked his parents if she could move in with them and they were such pushovers
they said yes and she STAYED FOR A YEAR and they couldn’t figure out how to get rid of her. Then she met new boyfriend (current fiancée) so finally moved out and went to live with him instead.
But they can afford a diamond ring
Anyway no I haven’t heard the Flynn conspiracy theory, but how many people down the line would you need to kill before getting to the Secretary of State. Like half a dozen?
