The House on Wednesday passed a sweeping gun reform bill that would raise the minimum age to purchase an assault rifle in the U.S. from 18 to 21, even though the legislation doesn’t stand much of a chance of passing in the Senate.

I think, 41+ would be more appropriate for gun ownership, with max 3 guns per person.

Sounds like a good idea but we need a out-right ban assault weapons and sue the gun makers out of business. Also a tight restrictions on ammo of any caliber.

Assault weapons are just semi auto rifles. They are not even battle weapons. How do you sue gun makers. Guns work just fine. Do we sue Gen Motors for drunk driving? You cannot restrict ammo. That is a violation of the 2nd amendment.
CA makes you go through a background check to buy ammo. Not sure that is legal. SCOTUS will rule.

Looks like the latest gov gun law proposal has special checks for buyers under 21 that do not yet have a background on the NICs data base. They check their social media posts. Also guns are not permitted if you have shown violence to a sig other.
Expansion of red flag laws and money for school protection and mental health. The new proposed law makes sense.

Owner ship shouldn't go beyond BB guns as in many other countries.
Some countries even limits BB pistols to less than 400-500 fps.

AR15s are merely SEMI AUTO rifles. Almost 50% of all rifles in the US are semi auto. The rest are bolt action, pump, or lever action. Semi auto guns are NOT assault weapons. Only fully auto guns are assault weapons. NO SHOOTINGS HAVE BEEN
caused by full auto since the 20's and Al Capone.

The word 'Assault' Rifle puts me off..
"NO ASSAULT" Rifles". They are made to Assault (KILL) people ..

Assault weapons MUST be banned period! The AR15 does a lot of damage to what it hits as it tumbles in to the body. THEY are Good FOR KILLING , and little dick assholes, and weak punks favor them. They MUST be banned!
Owner ship shouldn't go beyond BB guns as in many other countries.
Some countries even limits BB pistols to less than 400-500 fps.

Higher power weapons should be heavily regulated.

I fully agree.. If not banned!
Maybe if you want to buy a gun you must sign up for the National Guard or join the Army.
These idiots who murder using a Gun should be publicly put though a meat grinder.. That would get attention.

Assault does not mean kill. Look it up. If someone is assaulted , it means someone tried to fight them. If someone is murdered, that is something else. Any fully auto rifle that is used in combat, is a BATTLE RIFLE.. Looks like libtards mis
    labled the AR15.

What is an assault type weapon? They did that for 10 years and gun killings did NOT go down. CA still kept that law and all of those scary weapons now must be registered. So you already have what you want. Quit belly aching.

No scary one here. It is stupid to try to look like GI Joe. I do have a Springfield M1A which is a semi auto with a removable 10 round mag that shoots .308. A 308 is a large, powerful round. The AR15 5.6 x 45 round is really only medium power.
The AR15 is not a "hi power assault rifle".
