    Nothing inherently wrong with 'green' - but the zealots
    always forget that millions, billions, of actual humans
    get heavily impacted by such a 'paradigm change' - or

    My take on climate change is that it is indeed real but there is little mankind can
    do to circumvent it.
    The climate has been changing since time began.
    How about the little ice age for example?
    How did fossil fuels cause that?
    We can't just flip a switch and go green and the rest of the world has
    figured this out.
    Fossil fuels impact just about everything we do from manufacturing to food production
    to transportation to heating and cooling and yes to secure the USA militarily.

    And mandating and/or creating laws meant to force a switch to green energy when we
    are not even close to switching is absolutely crazy. It's literally slitting our own throats.

    above cases, the governors of those states strenuously asked for
    offshore drilling to be banned off their shores for fears that spills
    could damage their beaches and so cause major issues for their tourism industries.

    No, actually green tech is not ready.. it's good for supplemental power but it's no where close to being ready to become the sole and only source of energy. If only because it's not dependable. Solar works only part of the
    time, and depending on weather conditions can go for days with near zero output. Wind is cyclic and again you can go for stretches with limited or no power. So while they can aid other systems, they are not suitable as the primary source of power. Fusion will eventually replace both solar and wind, but until then Nuclear is our best option for clean energy particularly if
    we perform refining of spent nuclear fuel to reclaim the transuranic
    elements which can be put back in as fuel and which decreases the hazardous radioactive life of what's left to around 250 years. Which isn't great, but vastly better than the 1000's of years it is currently.
