Claremont's Carson Holloway on whether Amy Swonger recommends that
Donald Trump endorse NRSC.ORG's Steve Daines to succeed Mitch McConnell

| Again, trust had been lost, and who can blame the people who felt
| this lack of trust? The Senate Republican Conference, as a group,
| has hardly been a stalwart defender of Republican voters' interests
| and values, especially on the issue of border security. They were
| not, after all, eager to find money to help President Trump secure
| the border when he was president. Nor have they been particularly
| strenuous (again, as a group--there are honorable exceptions) in
| their condemnations of Biden's border policies. At least, for most
| of the last three years they acted as if they had other things on
| their minds.
Did Casey and Ron DeSantis consider leveraging Lachlan Murdoch's
FoxNews.COM to engage in a whisper campaign to insinuate that Trump
was bribed or blackmailed by Vladimir Putin to endorse McConnell and
Jim Lankford for Senate.GOV?

"I suspect this is how most people feel about the trip, or initially
felt. But as team Trump continues to show this was just a photo op
for Trump in reaction to internal concerns over 2024 and a lack of
media coverage, it will look simply cynical.
