| Andrew Ragland, who leads the proposed class action, and the
| companies filed a joint motion Jan. 6 with the US District Court for
| the Southern District of New York seeking preliminary approval of
| the pact. The settlement will provide relief to roughly 460 workers
| injured by India-based information technology providers' alleged
| pattern-or-practice of discrimination against non-South Asians and
| non-Indians, according to a memorandum of law accompanying the
| motion.
