    U.S. officials said last week that adults
    vaccinated with the Pfizer and Moderna
    COVID-19 vaccines should start getting
    booster shots 8 months after their second
    dose was administered, starting in mid-
    September.

    Now, a person familiar with the plans tells
    The Wall Street Journal, federal regulators
    will likely approve boosters for all three ap-
    proved vaccines — Pfizer, Moderna, and
    Johnson & Johnson — starting 6 months
    after inoculation.

    Comment: Coincidentally, I had my 2nd vac-
    cine (Moderna) exactly 5 months ago today
    (on March 26 2021), so -if- I could get a boos-
    ter September 26 2021, I'd be elated!

    However, 'likely' indicates it's possible it won't
    happen, so it's premature to celebrate some-
    thing that's not yet approved. I hope it is ap-
    proved, and if I'm not mistaken, Israel, the ear-
    liest widespread vaccination country, has ap-
    proved boosters 6 months after the 2nd vac-
    cination.

    Hopefully promising positive news, after 7-day
    average of new cases in the U.S. peaked at
    154,815 about one week ago, today's 7-day
    average of new cases in the U.S. reflects a

    That's similar to what happened with the dra-
    matic rise due to the Delta variant in India, once
    India got that on the decline, it declined steeply
    until leveling out at slightly over 30,000.
