I think I noticed that when I moved Word2007 to Windows 10, but it
only happened to a few macros (I don't have too many) and reinstalling
the macros from the code that helpful people in this newsgroup had
written for me years earlier made them work again.
But the next time you make a new macro, do look out for the checkbox
about "all documents" (which puts it in the normal.dotm template) vs.
"this document only." (I don't know whether that puts it in the .doc
itself, or in whatever specific template you're using for that .doc.)

I don't see that I have an option as to where to save it when I make a
new entry. But they will be there for months then just suddenly gone
except for some very old ones that I have made. I kind of think the
ones that stay are the ones that were here before I updated to Windows
10 but I'm not completely sure about that.

I have a weird issue that happens from time to time that when I start
Word some of my autocorrect entries and macros are gone. The very old
ones that have been there for years are still there but some of the
newer ones I have made in the past couple of years will be gone. It
has
happened 3-4 times in the past couple of years. I need to know how to prevent this from happening.-
