  • [gentoo-dev] Stabilization request - what instruction to follow

From =?UTF-8?B?Vmxhc3RpbWlsIEtyZWrEjcOtx@21:1/5 to All on Fri Apr 22 10:50:01 2022
    Hi all,

I'd like to send a stabilization request for a package (I'm not a
maintainer of the package, I just sent a new ebuild a month and half ago).
I have found at least two guides:

    https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bugzilla/Bug_report_guide#Request_stabilization https://devmanual.gentoo.org/keywording/index.html#moving-from-arch-to-arch

The second one seems to be more actual - recommends to use NATTkA. Could
you give me an example how to file a new request? It seems to me
that NATTkA can handle only existing bugs, so to file a bug one must use different way.

What's the actual recommended way to file a stabilization request?

    Regards,

    Vlastik

    Hi Vlastimil,

Gentoo *users* want to follow this guide.

    https://devmanual.gentoo.org/keywording/index.html#moving-from-arch-to-arch

As this is part of Gentoo's devmanual (Developer Manual), it is targeted
    at developers.

Your case sounds like you simply want to fill a bug report requesting stabilization.
