    If you're willing to run your own server, radicale is the
    simplest contact/calendar server, and nextcloud is the most massively overfeatured. There are probably a half-dozen in between.

    radicale is packaged and fairly easy to set up; nextcloud is
    a weekend project for someone who has already got the basics of
    domain name, firewall, and an apache or nginx web server.
