I also wear trifocals, and have astigmatism.

They make clip on / flip up reading glasses. I see the best price on Aliexpress (other places I've checked are 2 to 6 times the price).

I bought several (they were less expensive before the tariffs) to experiment with determining what magnification I should get on a pair of what I'll call of computer bifocals -- I want a pair of bifocals with near vision on the bottom and the rest of the lens to be suitable for viewing my computer from 34" away.

So far +1.25 isn't quite good enough, and I'm probably going to buy the flip ups in +1.50 and +1.75 to see which does the job. (IIUC, the "near vision portion of a bifocal or trifocal is +2.50 by default.)

(Aside: I rigged a hanging thing so I could measure the distant that my eyes are from my computer screen when I am sitting normally.)

I am assuming that, with the reference to the terroriffs, that you are
in the USA, with President Turd.

The simple reading glasses that I have - I have two pairs; one is 1.5x,
and, one is 3.0x - I had to use the other pair of reading glasses, to
read each magnification level, off the inside of the respective arms -
each cost me 15AUD at a local pharmacy.

I cannot use either pair, for more than a couple of minutes, as they
worsen my headache, after more than a couple of minutes.

(Both my pairs are Foster Grant - the 3.0x are Magnavision, and, the
    1.5x may be Scooter)
