• End user speech recognition applications

    From Richard Owlett@21:1/5 to All on Sat Dec 14 15:40:01 2024
    I want to explore feasibility of a "bright idea" [snicker!].
    I'm looking for relatively light weight end user application that will
    run under 64 bit Debian 12.

    The program's description would likely use the terms continuous and
    large vocabulary. *HOWEVER* I would be happy initially if it could
    reliably recognize a few dozen (100 max) key words. It doesn't have to
    be real time but I do want to know when the word was said. I've browsed
    the Sphinx related development tools (especially the caveats) and
    suspect they would be a suitable base. But I'm not a programmer. I
    looking for a FOSS application for some casual exploration.

    Suggestions {other than "see a shrink" ;}
    TIA
