• No kernel

From Van Snyder@21:1/5 to All on Wed Nov 6 20:00:01 2024
I tried to use the netinst to install Debian 12.5 onto a Dell Inspiron
    15. Eventually, after the usual things, it said there was no kernel. So
I tried the 12.1.0 netinst and it also said there was no kernel. What
    happened? How can I install?

"no kernel" is not an error that Debian can emit.

Can you boot and then transcribe the exact wording, please?

Where exactly are you getting this error message? During the
installation process? During boot, either of the Debian installer
(d-i), or of the installed system?

What exactly is the error message? A paraphrase does us little good.
what other messages did you see?

You can recover logs from an installation. During installation, they
are available at /var/log/. After installation, at /var/log/installer/.
