It's extremely unlikely that the appearance of the mouse pointer
would have anything to do with the mouse hardware. Hell, you could
probably *unplug* the mouse and it wouldn't change the pointer's
    appearance.

The pointer's appearance is decided by the "window" (graphical element)
that currently has Focus. And Focus is decided by the Window Manager in conjunction with whatever applications are running. It may be based on
the exact position of the mouse cursor, or by the state of the running application which owns the window that most recently had Focus.

Anyway, since none of us know anything about your appliction, it's
unlikely we can offer you much help here. You'd be much better off
contacting whatever support community this application has.

As Greg already said, you are barking up the wrong mouse ;-)

The app, prusaslicer is signalling to you that it is busy (be it legit
or buggily, that's on you to find out).

One thing you can try to find out is whether you can click on things
"in" your application and see whether they do anything. Maybe the app
is just buggy and has forgotten to restore your pointer to "normal".

    But yes, perhaps ask Prusa.

    Cheers
