    Hi,

Did you guys tried to run installation of Debian 12.6.0 from netinst on VirtualBox from current Debian SID in EFI mode?

    Hi Lukasz

Firstly: Virtualbox is in Sid (and nowhere else now) because of upstream
and Debian differences of opinion with regard to security. It will never
be in stable because of this.

Secondly: Breakage in Sid is to be expected to some extent. If it's
an issue of Sid as the underlying operating system - on the broken
system, you get to keep both pieces :)

So you have two elements both of which are less supportable than
    corresponding Debian stable.

I'm fairly sure I saw a bug report about EFI breakage in Sid at
some point recently. It's no particular help but the netinst is
probably not at fault in that I can install it under VMWare
on a Mac / kvm and qemu on a Linux system. 12.7 should be produced
    on August 31st or so.

All the very best, as ever,

I was able to install Debian 12.6.0 only in non EFI mode on VB.

    Do you confirm my finding?

    Best,

    Łukasz

Another datum: I was recently able to install the weekly netinst build
on a Virtual Manager/qemu EFI machine.

As Virtual Manager/qemu EFI run on Bookworm, you might try it. To
install to an EFI vm, you must build the vm as an EFI vm. https://wiki.debian.org/SecureBoot/VirtualMachine#Alternatively:_using_virt-manager
