  • autopkgtest : s390x is considered regression but never built

    Hi there,

    I am staring at the autopkgtest results for jpeg-xl:

    * https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/jpeg-xl

    It seems CI consider there is a regression for s390x:

    Is there a way to de-activate explicitly s390x from the default
    autpkgtest list ?

    I asked about this #debci on IRC and got this answer:

    <elbrus> pabs: haven't checked but the answer normally is that the
    package also builds arch:all binaries and either the correct solution
    is to skip s390x (as in the follow up) or if there's a chance it will
    ever build on s390x to ask the release team to hint the package through

    The "!" syntax is not supported in Architecture:, you'd
    have to spell out all archs in d/control..

    There was a recent discussion on -devel, and one suggestion [1]
    was to do something like:

    elbrus confirmed on #debci that ! is supported in d/t/c Architecture.

    More discussion on #debci, elbrus and I came to the conclusion that
    removing @ from Depends in debian/tests/control is the right thing to
    do here, because the tests only use cjxl/jxlinfo/djxl from libjxl-tools
    and that if libjxl-tools were in Depends instead of @ (which includes
    arch:all) then britney should understand the situation and DTRT,
    but if not then contact the release team for help with the issue.
