    Dear Maintainer,

    Attempting to read the contents of two Quansheng UV-K5(8) transcievers has causes logout, using the Debian package version and the current version installed from Python, and on two different laptops running Debian. The software still works normally with
    older Baofeng transcievers.

    Hi, thanks for the prompt response.

    I meant the Python wheel package from chirpmyradio.com, dated 20240706,
    using the instructions there (pipx).

    My Quanshengs still have their factory firmware, I didn't want to try alternatives until I had a backup, and the memories the way I want them.

    Hi there, thanks for the bug! I’ll replicate it this afternoon and upload the latest one as there’s been a few updates to that driver since the last upload [1].

    When you say the current version installed by python, do you mean installed via `pip3 install chirp`?

    Are you running the regular firmware or another like egzumer?
