    Hi,

There are a few issues with Debian FAQ Chapter 5. Software available in the Debian system.

    Specifically:
    - A broken link to 'Debian mirrors'.
    - References from 2016 about changes to Dan J. Bernstein licenses that are no longer relevant.
    - References to gnash, googleearth-package and ekiga packages that are no longer available.

I have local changes ready to be submitted as a merge request if someone
can approve my registration in Salsa.

I'm looking to do a lot more work on Debian but don't want to overstep. Where's best to send a lot of questions and requests to make changes to
docs and the wiki, either by email or IRC?

    Thanks for your interest.

You point out some obvious shortcomings in the current FAQ; any patches fixes are very much appreciated. Ideally you offer them in _small_ chunks. Either on this list, or as MR's on Salsa. Or just text suggestions in email here.
    Any format goes, basically, afaic.

I did not notice a registration request on Salsa from you. Are you talking about registering as a salsa user, of about getting some access for your salsa useraccount to the debian-doc space on salsa? In the first case, I can not really help and you'll likely have to wait for the salsa admins.

    Anyway: Thanks again!

    Bye,

    Joost
