  • bullseye-updates does not have a Release file

    When I run sudo apt update I receive the following error messages:

    Err:5 http://security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-updates Release
    404 Not Found [IP: 2a04:4e42:77::644 80]

    *E: *The repository 'http://security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-updates Release' does not have a Release file.
    N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

    Here is the settings from /etc/apt/sources.list:

    deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security/ bullseye-updates main
    deb-src http://security.debian.org/debian-security/ bullseye-updates main

    Is anyone else having this problem?

    Switch from bullseye/updates to bullseye-security for security updates.

    Note that bullseye-updates does exist, but not in the security updates:

       deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bullseye-updates main

    It is a good idea to have both bullseye-security and bullseye-updates:

       deb https://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bullseye-security main
       deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bullseye-updates main
