thanks for maintaining aerc in Debian!
I finally got around looking at it. I had lost the d-private mail in
question and had to bounce it from archived mail, which is likely why
I kept stalling. This is on me, though.
in the index view, aerc prints an error about an email it cannot parse:
By index view, I assume the thread view that you get while opening and
browsing through aerc?
error: could not get structure: unknown charset: unknown charset: charset "unknown-8bit": htmlindex: invalid encoding name
the email at hand has an attachment of:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=unknown-8bit
Content-Disposition: inline
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
... Assuming so, I can't repro this. Neither in the thread view, nor
after opening the mail. This is on version 0.20.0-2+b1
