• Bug#1109674: mpv: Inconsistency detected by ld.so

    From Fabien Millioz@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jul 21 20:40:01 2025
    Package: mpv
    Version: 0.40.0-3
    Severity: important

    Dear Maintainer,

    After an upgrade from bookworm to trixie (and a full reboot), mpv gives:
    $ mpv
    Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/x86_64/dl-machine.h: 498: elf_machine_rela_relative: Assertion `ELFW(R_TYPE) (reloc->r_info) == R_X86_64_RELATIVE' failed!

    I tried to purge the package and reinstall it, no changes.

    mpd has the same issue, but mplayer is working fine.

    All the best,
    Fabien
