Dear FTP team,
with trixie finishing the usrmerge transition, it is important to
not introduce regressions. It would seem easiest if dak could reject
packages targetting trixie, forky or newer, which install files into
/bin, /sbin, or /lib*.
This is covered by the lintian tag
"package-contains-usr-unmerged-pathnames". All packages in trixie
are not hitting this tag.
I hope (on the FTP team side) it would be enough to add the tag name
to config/debian/lintian.tags, for which I've submitted a merge
request at
https://salsa.debian.org/ftp-team/dak/-/merge_requests/291
If this won't work for some reason, I hope we can discuss another
solution in this bug.
Best,
Chris
