    Dear Maintainer,

    * What led up to the situation?

I installed the linux kernel image to 6.12.35+deb13-amd64.

    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
    ineffective)?

Used synaptic to install most recent version of several packages.
I am currently using the previous image 6.12.33+deb13-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.12.33-1 (2025-06-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux, which is booting successfully.

    * What was the outcome of this action?

The system hangs at boot when attempting to boot with the new kernel 6.12.35+deb13-amd64.
I now have to select "advanced" options during boot and select the previous kernel 6.12.33. "Recovery mode" also does not work for 6.12.35.

    * What outcome did you expect instead?

The system asks for my dmcrypt password.

I attached two camera pictures – one of a working boot on 6.12.33 with a dmcrypt prompt for my passphrase, and one of the hanging 6.12.35.

Can you please install 6.12.37-1 from unstable (which is targeted at
trixie) and check if the issue is solved?

    Regards,
    Salvatore
