  • Bug#1108184: Nextcloud client 3.7.3 Share options not working

    Hey,

    This is a known bug in 3.7.3 version of Nexcloud client applications,
    and it is said that just version 3.7.4 fixes the issue: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/desktop-client-3-7-x-share-options-not-working/ 156136

    I'm asking to update Bookworm Nextcloud client packages at least to
    3.7.4 version, either for main repository or bookworm-backports so it be working to share files between desktop users.

    The proper solution is to extract the one or two commits that are fixing the issue, I can do a update of the version in bookworm with those patches.
    Without that I would need to convince the release team why they should allow
    to push all changed of 3.7.4 to stable. Do you can help here?

    bookworm-backports is not an option, as backports need to have the same
    version that is in testing/unstable. So that would mean to package 3.16.4 for bookworm. I don't have the time to to this backport.

    From a first view the patches are quite small, the package builds fine.

    Did you already build the package yourself and made sure, that those patches are really fixing the issue and not introduce new issues?

    As the release team will ask how we checked the fix for the issue.

    I don't know the procedure to get source files and build a binary
    package but with "checkinstall" wizard.

    I prepared the fix in the repository on the fix-1108684 branch and created a merge request:
