    It looks like the AusweisApp can't connect to your local network which sounds like an issue with your
    firewall configuration.

    the error message should tell me what exactly it's trying to connect, so
    i can check the routing table, firewall, apparmor, etc.

    This is something that upstream needs to take care of. I'm just the maintainer of the Debian
    package, not the upstream maintainer of AusweisApp. I'm CC'ing someone from the upstream
    developers.

    In any case you need to make sure that your firewall is properly configured to allow AusweisApp
    to work over the network. It could be that your firewall is blocking the communication of the
    app with other devices on your local network.

    note that this works just fine with the 2.3.2 package from flathub.

    I currently cannot upload upstream version 2.3.2 due to the freeze for Debian Trixie.
