    Hi,

    I want to report, that oidentd cannot lookup masqueraded connections
    when running kernel 2.6.8-1. /var/log/syslog on the masquerading machine shows

    Aug 18 20:03:48 router oidentd[1589]: Connection from
    irc.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de (129.13.73.225):0
    Aug 18 20:03:48 router oidentd[1589]: [irc.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de] 51620 ,
    6667 : ERROR : NO-USER

    although oidentd is also running on the masqueraded machine and oidentd
    on the router is started with Options -mf

    Kernel 2.6.7-1 does not show this problem. The probable cause:

    Maybe setgid root for oidentd would help?
