• Bug#266659: ABI change breaks subversion

From Uwe Zeisberger@1:229/2 to All on Wed Aug 18 19:20:12 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: libapr0
    Version: 2.0.50-9
    Severity: critical

Since I upgraded libapr (and apache2) from 2.0.50-8 to 2.0.50-9
the command svn (from the subversion package, version 1.0.6-1), which
depends on libapr0, segfaults on nearly every operation.

I tried downgrading libapr0 and then svn worked again faultless.

There were bugs in the library, which are now repaired, however I think,
it is a pity to break the ABI of a library, whose developers emphasise compatibility with prior versions[1].

    Regards
    Uwe
