• Bug#266639: documentation not available and double samplercs

From Jonas Meurer@1:229/2 to All on Wed Aug 18 17:00:23 2004

    Package: muttprint
    Version: 0.72a-3
    Severity: wishlist

    hi,

i just tried to configure my system for muttprint.

I recognized, that the sample-muttprintrc-files are two times available:
    in /usr/share/doc/muttprint/examples, and in /usr/share/doc/muttprint/
    as symlinks to examples.

maybe the latter should be removed at next release?

additional, the manpage refers to a 'User's Guide in PDF and HTML format
at /usr/share/doc/muttprint/' but there deffinitely is no User Guide at /usr/share/doc/muttprint. the directory contains:
    README
    README.Gnus
    README.Latex
    README.es
    README.translations.gz
    changelog.Debian.gz
    changelog.gz
    copyright
    examples
    sample-muttprintrc-de
    sample-muttprintrc-en
    sample-muttprintrc-es
    sample-muttprintrc-fr
    sample-muttprintrc-it
    sample-muttprintrc-nl
    sample-muttprintrc-si

did the user guide diappear, or has it been forgotten?

    bye
    jonas

    maybe.

additional, the manpage refers to a 'User's Guide in PDF and HTML format
at /usr/share/doc/muttprint/' but there deffinitely is no User Guide at

apt-get install muttprint-manual, as the package info shows:

    $ apt-cache show muttprint | grep Suggests
Suggests: ospics, compface, imagemagick, psutils, latex-ucs, tetex-extra
    = 2.0-1), libtimedate-perl, muttprint-manual, dialog

Closing the report and cloning one for the wish to remove the links...

    Gre/Regards,

    Ren
