From Toby McLaughlin@1:229/2 to All on Wed Aug 18 16:40:09 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: pppoeconf
    Version: 1.0.4
    Severity: normal

After running pppoeconf for the first time and electing to use the MSS
clamping option, the script /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/0clampmss is installed mode
    600. As a result, the script fails to run when the pppoe interface is
    brought up.
