• Bug#266622: opencv: FTBFS with -rsudo

From Andreas Metzler@1:229/2 to All on Wed Aug 18 15:50:09 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: opencv
    Severity: serious
Justification: no longer builds from source
    Version: 0.9.5-8

    Building opencv with
    dpkg-buildpackage -rsudo
    fails with:
    ---------------
    touch stamp-h.in
touch: cannot touch `stamp-h.in': Permission denied
    make: *** [config.status] Error 1
    ---------------

This caused opencv to FTBFS on the official mips and mipsel
    autobuilders.

This change to debian-rules seems to work for me - I lost my patience
and aborted the build on this slow machine.
    - touch stamp-h.in -d yesterday
    # #touch stamp-h.in -d yesterday

But you'll need to do more testing, you'll need to make sure your
debian/rules do *not* _generate_ any files in the clean-target (which
runs as root). - Regenerating auto* with AM_MAINTAINER_MODE might be
    an option, too.

On a sidenote: opencv also FTBFS on sparc, butwith a different error.
