It seems that this package is no longer compiled with
-D_FFR_SMTP_SSL
ah, I've not changed the configure.ac... are you sure you've got
M=s on the DAEMON options ? what arch ?
Which breaks SSL on the smtps port (which is a critical service I have to support). I'm using testing as I'm upgrading my servers for the semester (I'm
going to stay with Sarge). This is the version of sendmail that I get by default. It was correct in version: 8.12.3-6.6
Let me know how this goes - I'm curious as to wtf happened since the configure.ac is *still* putting -D_FFR_SMTP_SSL on anything > 8.12.0 !
testing will soon be getting 8.13.1, in which smtps is no longer an
_FFR_; and I've just verified that it is still working here... Just
need the cyrus-sasl2 packages to clear up and allow all this stuff into testing; and then sarge.
This is all *supposed* to make sarge - but I've still got my fingers
crossed...
So this *is* fixed by the current unstable version, and the problem
only exists in testing.
Be aware that there are sasldb2 issues in testing - that version handles
realms differently from earlier versions, and that is the reason things
are currently hung up.

I'm an idiot.. At least this [bug] took about 5 minutes to find..
Disquieting ...
