  • Bug#258988: Debian: gmime-2.1.7 build-failures on ia64

    Dear Jeffrey,

    I'm the maintainer for the Balsa GNOME mail client in Debian GNU/Linux
    and the latest version of balsa (2.2.3) will not be included with our
    next stable release as one of its dependencies -- gmime-2.1.7, does not
    build on ia64.

    Could you please take a look at: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=258988
    and help us fix this?

    Uhm, does Balsa really need gmime 2.1? It is the unstable branch (once
    it is stable it will become 2.2), so if you don't use the few extra
    functions 2.1 offers over 2.0, I suggest you link with 2.0 instead.
